Teaching Ideas
Creating material specifically for teaching beginners was not a new idea that I thought of for the American Go Extra. I had suggested to the American Go Association that it was important for the growth of the go movement that fostering the ability of those players be focused on. When the AGA ignored my suggestion, I contacted the British Go Association.
The BGA was receptive to the idea of publishing a regular feature for beginners and did a great job of editing the material that I sent in. In the Summer of 1992 I analyzed a top professional game in a simplified way so that beginners could understand what was happening.
